Meet the Artists

Guttestreker is a Norwegian artist duo consisting of Petter Malterud Grøndahl and Christoffer Kroge Christensen. They have worked together since 2015, developing a distinctive artistic style they call “Illustrated Philosophy”, in which philosophy, science and current social issues are communicated through intricate drawings and colourful compositions.

At first glance, their work often catches the eye with bold colours, humour and playful characters. Look a little closer, and complex worlds unfold, filled with symbols, stories and references to politics, technology, the environment and humanity's relationship with the world around us. Their work invites you to pause, explore the details and discover something new each time you look.

At Balestrand Hotell, you will find their work throughout the building, where the colourful and intricate motifs give guests something new to discover. We are proud to have Guttestreker as part of our art collection. Their works contain so many stories, and we are happy that our guests get the chance to discover them.
